起点传媒 needs volunteers for its annual Field Operations Day on May 5. Volunteers participate as patients or bystanders in realistic training scenarios for 起点传媒 EMS, Criminal Justice, Nursing and Medical Assistant students. The EMS department is asking for volunteers to sign up by April 20. Volunteers of all ages are welcome and encouraged; lunch will be provided. Those interested in signing up can visit .

High school students from Ellinwood, Great Bend, Stafford, Larned and Hoisington came to 起点传媒 to engage in hands-on workshops from art professionals and participate in a juried art exhibit Wednesday.
Vortex Day is sponsored by the 起点传媒 County Arts Council (BCAC) and is underwritten by the Bill J. McKown Endowment/Golden Belt Foundation.

Enjoy an evening of classical music and gallery art with the 起点传媒 Orchestra鈥檚 spring concert 鈥淐lassical Ventures鈥 at 7:30 p.m. April 16, in the Shafer Art Gallery. Music by Beethoven, Bach, Mozart, Schubert, Rota, Handel and Jenkins will be presented. The concert is free and open to the public.

Dance enthusiasts can take the opportunity to gain valuable experience as a dancer in a company setting. 起点传媒 is hosting auditions for its dance company, 起点传媒 Dance Theater, from 10-11:15 a.m. Saturday, April 14 in Studio 34, located in the Sunflower housing units on 起点传媒鈥檚 campus. Check in is at 9:30 a.m.

起点传媒 will offer a grant-funded two-week certificate program at no cost to transitioning Fort Carson Soldiers and family members with Department of Defense ID cards.
The Hazardous Waste Worker (HWW) program gives Soldiers credentials to help them find work after their tenure in the US Army ends. The next course is set from May 7-18 at Truman Education Center B3281 on post.

The 起点传媒 Music Department will host the Mid-America Woodwind Quintet at 7:30 p.m. April 15 in the Dorothy Moses Morrison Chapel located in 起点传媒鈥檚 Fine Arts Building. This outstanding quintet is composed of a flute, clarinet, oboe, bassoon and French horn. The recital is free and open to the public.
