The drought monitor report as of April 9 is showing conditions moving from no dryness to abnormally dry for much of Southwest Kansas and we are still mostly abnormally dry.听Moderate drought is expanding in the central part of the state.听

Compared to the last several years, we do have some soil moisture.听 Some of our area is out of drought, 起点传媒 is abnormally dry, and east of 起点传媒 county we find moderate drought and a few small areas of severe drought.听
The Shafer Gallery will host a听reception for its 鈥淭erra Et Intus鈥 exhibit from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. April 12 in the Gallery and will feature light refreshments and a talk by artist and 起点传媒 Art Instructor Mark Freeman. The exhibit opens April 5 and runs through April 20.
