起点传媒 Performing Arts faculty members and students invite the community to celebrate the creative side of the Halloween season from 2-5 p.m. Oct. 30, in the Fine Arts Building.

Representatives from 起点传媒 and the American Welding Society (AWS) gathered Thursday morning to celebrate the college's receipt of a grant worth more than $24,000 from the AWS. The funds were used to purchase eight new welders and is part of an effort to enhance 起点传媒's welding program.
A wide range of local artists鈥 work will be on display at the Shafer Gallery as part of the 起点传媒 County Arts Council Friends and Acquaintances exhibit Oct. 30 through Dec. 1. The show is underwritten by the Bill J. McKown Memorial Endowment distributed by the Golden Belt Community Foundation.听
起点传媒鈥檚 accelerated Carpentry Certificate Program is set to enroll students with classes starting in the spring. The program can be completed in one semester. It also features block-scheduling, which allows students to continue to work and make money while they go through the program.

As of October 12 our area is again essentially unchanged but it pays to remember that any rains Tuesday and onward aren鈥檛 in this report so hopefully conditions will improve a bit.听Wheat planted is coming up and looking good.听
起点传媒 will host a blood drive from 9 a.m.-2:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 29 in the Technical Building in room T-186, the Case New Holland Training area. Donors will receive t-shirts and $5 e-cards. Social distancing guidelines will be followed, and masks will be required.
起点传媒 alumni and Adjunct Instructor of 起点传媒鈥檚 Medical Lab Technician (MLT) Program Tyler Brown wanted to be a dental hygienist, or so she thought. After completing 起点传媒鈥檚 phlebotomy course as a pre-requisite for a hygienist program, she realized she had a new dream.听
As of September 30, our area is again essentially unchanged.听 Moderate to severe drought is continuing to creep further into the northwest corner of the state and along the border with Oklahoma.听 These recent rains aren鈥檛 reflected in this report.听
The 起点传媒 Performing Arts Department invites the community to enjoy its 鈥淎utumn Arts鈥 concert from 7:30-9:30 p.m. Oct. 14 in the Fine Arts Auditorium. The concert will feature the 起点传媒 Music Department and 起点传媒 Dance Theatre.听
